What happens when life gets in the way of blogging?

I joined SocialSpark today and was reading some blogs on there and a good question came up. What happens when life gets in the way and you are unable to blog for any length of time? Do you call in one of your favorite blog subscribers who are familiar with your blog? Do you blog from your cell phone? What if you get sick with the flu and can’t even get out of bed or a hurricane hits your town and you are not connected to the outside world for a few days or weeks? How do you prevent all your hard work from going down the drain?

Many bloggers spend on average 12 hours a day in front of the computer. Think of all the promoting you have done, all of the readers who have you on their rss subscriptions, think of the money lost from sponsored posts or advertising.

This is a new project for me. I am going to review blogging services and tools and see what I can come up with. I am glad I stumbled across that blog article.
